Vintage Angus Donating Heifer for 2018 Angus Foundation Heifer Package
The 2018 Angus Foundation Female was truly one of a kind, and came from a mating that’s in the very top echelons of the Angus breed. Owners of Vintage Angus Ranch, Jim and Sue Coleman, were honored to give back to the Angus breed with their generous contribution of elite genetics that will also generate funds for educational, research and youth activities. The Angus Foundation Heifer Package was auctioned on January 10, 2018 at the National Western Stock Show.

Committed to Supporting Angus Youth
Charles W. and Judy Herbster show continuous commitment to the Angus Foundation and the future of the Angus breed through their extremely generous support. Herbster Angus Farms consecutively purchased the Angus Foundation Heifer Package from 2013 to 2016. The Honorary Angus Foundation member’s 2016 Foundation Heifer Package purchase became the second highest-grossing donation in the 36 years of the event.

Leading Angus Youth
The American Angus Association selected Cassandra Garcia of Renton, Washington as the 2016-2017 Angus Ambassador. Garcia served a one-year term as spokesperson for the organization’s nearly 6,000 junior members at cattle industry events across the United States and Canada.

A Legacy of Leaders
National Junior Angus Association hosted the 2016 LEAD conference in Arizona. The LEAD conference strives to build and strengthen leadership initiatives in Angus juniors while providing networking opportunities. Throughout the conference, Angus juniors broaden their knowledge and understanding of the agricultural industry as they travel from one tour stop to the next.
