Inventory Reporting is a voluntary option within Angus Herd Improvement Records (AHIR) program. Inventory Reporting allows members to submit AHIR data the same way as the traditional AHIR system of Individual Reporting. Inventory Reporting, however, also adds a layer of ensuring records are kept for each female over 12 months of age to keep complete, lifetime records for each female. Each female has an annual $2 AHIR fee. Members who participate in Inventory Reporting will receive the research longevity EPD on registered animals in their herd when the research EPD is released. Inventory Reporting FAQ
During your annual enrollment period, each female is required to have one of three things submitted during the last 12 months. By reporting one of the three below, it keeps record on an annual basis of what the dam’s production record is and if no calf was born, keeps record of why no calf.
